Sweet Treat Birthday Card

Yeah, I know - WOW amazing!! I finally posted something. More like I actually made something =P It's been a while but I'm trying to get back in action with craft fairs coming up. Thought I'd make a birthday card for a friend. I had these sweet treat cups from SU! for a long time and haven't used them. I just added buttons for her to use rather than candy. Hope she likes the card!

Cool Stuff!

I'm posting this late but last month I won this blog candy from Amy. She has some nice card creations so go check her blog out =} I can't wait to use these stamps and stuff she gave. I'm sorta broken for a while. I slammed my finger in the van door and haven't done a card since. It really sucks!!

My friend told me of the new products that are releasing from CTMH and

knows how I am totally into bags and stuff. So this rolling carryall and tote I had to get. I love the color and also because I am always lugging my stuff to people's houses to craft. It's a convenient way to travel. But I think I'll make more use of them on my Vegas trip =} I think it'll be good to take them on the plane.

Wow, this is one big set Elizabeth created! Aren't they all so cute? It sure took me a while to figure out what to do. But I was thinking something like a framed picture rather than a card. This week's element along with the image is flowers of any type. I used the Marvy Uchida 2" punch to make the squares along the edges. I just had to use that paper because I really liked the colors. The buttons and pearl adhesives I used for the tree and bush is from Close To My Heart. The flowers are Petaloo Dazzles from Memory Works and I made her cap a little furry using the q-tip cotton.

Yay. My second week on the design team and I feel I'm getting the hang of it. This week Tracey and I were given a couple of images and two patterned papers to print from Elizabeth. We got the stars background which I cut and spaced apart and also, the matching stripes that I made going across. This image is Tommy Train. Originally, I printed two of these images. One of him in the size you see and I printed another in a much bigger size to get the train like that. I also printed the bird from another Tommy image so I could cover the part where I pulled the train from. So voilà! There it is..hope Elizabeth enjoys the card.

~Taking Care of Flowers~

Last month Elizabeth of Softpencil from Argentina asked me to be her guest designer for the month of August and I gladly accepted. Each week they are given one of her designs and are assigned elements to use. This week it's this image called, "Taking care of flowers" and we are to use bows and buttons. Fun Sunday With Friends

Denise held this huge get together at her place and a BIG thanks to her and her family for letting us all come and srap all day long! It was such a fun day that went by super fast. I think we did a lot of laughter and talking than we did crafting. Oh and not to mention the eating!! It was great meeting new people and especially other bloggers. It's nice to see in person who's leaving you a comment on your posts =}

From Buenos Aires, Argentina is an artist named Elizabeth Pujalka. I met her through her Etsy Shop and her images are oh so very cute! I made these cards long ago and these stamps are a hostess set from Stampin Up! The one that caught my eye was the donut be sad. I can't believe how popular that stamp is! I've used it many times and it was requested over and over again. My friends were quoting that and would tell me,"donut be sad" or "donut get mad, I have to tell you something". It would make me laugh! I had to make dozens and dozens of these donuts. It was well worth it getting them!! =}

I've been small kind MIA but will be back in action soon. My cousin and her fiancee left to Alaska tonight =( so I decided to finally post something. This one is very much behind but these are RAKs I received over a month ago. Such thoughtful people who visit my blog! I'm very grateful and appreciate their kindness =)

This smile award was given to me by Jen [Pieces of Me]! Among the variety of things she does, she's a designer for Two Scoops Rice Designs. Talk about being crazy and silly, she totally cracks me up! I still remember the time she came to my work place to drop off an order and she left here with a joke and I couldn't stop laughing even about 20 min later. She texted me and I was still rolling. She is one crazy gal who stands out =} I'm surprised she gave me this award because she's the one who's always making me smile till my cheeks get sore! (omg Jen, I know what you're thinking.....)

I'd like to also pass this award to my dear friend Nicky. Not only her blog makes me smile but her friendship too! I just met her last year at J's Knicknacks for a make-and-take and some time after she came to my house for a class. After that, we became such great friends. I'd like to remind her that her friendship means a lot to me and I thank her for everything she's done. Lately she's been there for me through some rough and challenging times. I'm glad to have her friendship =)
